Shaolin Soul ist eine Zusammenstellung von Musik, überwiegend Soulklassiker, die vom Wu-Tang Clan und den Soloinkarantionen gesampelt wurde. Die Samples sind hauptsächlich für die von RZA produzierten Tracks gedacht und decken damit weitgehend die früheren Jahre ihrer Karriere ab. Zum 20-jährigen Geburtstag der Serie erscheinen die ersten drei LPs neu mit CD-Beilage, dazu erstmals alle drei auf einer 3-fach-CD. Ausserdem gibt es eine brandneue Episode 4.
